Jayden’s Story

2-year-old Jayden had a stem cell transplant in early 2022 for a rare condition called Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis. His post transplant journey has been complicated by CMV infection.

The Azaylia Foundation donated £10,000 to Birmingham Children’s Hospital to obtain a new treatment for Jayden which needs to be manufactured locally, from a donation of blood from his mother, for which costs are not covered by the NHS.
